Ghana defender Ebenezer Kpozo has joined Slovakian side Humenne on loan from Podbrezova, completing a move that takes him from the country’s top flight to the II. Liga.
The 20-year-old centre-back moves to Humenne after joining Podbrezova on a free transfer on 1 July 2026. His switch was completed on 2 September, with the loan scheduled to run until 30 June 2027.
Kpozo is listed at 1.92m and plays predominantly as a right-footed central defender. He becomes part of a Humenne squad competing in Slovakia’s second tier after his previous club began the season in the Nike Liga.
The move comes shortly after Kpozo arrived at Podbrezova from Pohronie. He spent the second half of the 2025-26 season with Pohronie, having joined the club from Georgian side FC Telavi on a free transfer on 28 January 2026.
Kpozo’s senior club career began with Agbogba FC before he moved to FC Telavi in February 2025. He then continued his career in Slovakia, first with Pohronie and subsequently with Podbrezova.
His latest transfer adds another step to a rapidly changing early career, with the defender having moved between four clubs since leaving Agbogba FC. The loan also places him in a different division from the club that holds his registration, while keeping his longer-term link with Podbrezova intact.
The Ghanaian’s recorded market value is €75,000, although no transfer fee has been attached to the loan. Humenne are the latest club to secure his services after his move to Podbrezova was completed without a fee earlier in the summer.
Kpozo’s contract details are listed through 30 June 2027, matching the scheduled end of his time at Humenne. At that point, the defender is due to return to Podbrezova.
Kpozo has therefore moved to Humenne on loan from Podbrezova until 30 June 2027.
