How the NPP’s Delta Force ‘threw out’ REGSEC co-ordinator

A group of well-built men purportedly from pro-NPP vigilante group, Delta Force, allegedly stormed the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council on Friday, March 24 to stop one Mr Adjei, appointed as the regional security coordinator, from performing his duties.

According to members of the Delta Force, they cannot work with Mr Adjei since he is not a native of the Ashanti Region. Members of the group on Friday stormed the office to stop Mr Adjei from working on Friday.

Mr Adjei was manhandled and dragged from his office by the macho men, but was saved by police officers, who were called in to control tempers.

In a video circulating on social media, Mr Adjei is seen being dragged from the top floor of the REGSEC office in the Ashanti Region by some police officers in order to ‘protect’ him from the angry men who had earlier destroyed some office equipment in their bid to drive out the President’s appointee as REGSEC co-ordinator.

Regional executives of the NPP are reported to have met late Friday afternoon to decide on the best way of dealing with the challenge.

Meanwhile Mr. Adjei, the co-ordinator who was attacked by the thugs, is said to be ‘safe and sound’ as police investigate what really happened on Friday.
