How Could The Police Be 99% Professionals – Torgbui Hor Ii

I am another Chief daring the Minister of Interior Dr Benjamin Kumbuor about the
professionalism of the Ghana Police Service. I wish to bring this information to the
domain of the public and the whole world as my contribution to the Minister of
Interior’s statement about the professionalism of the Ghana Police Service.
How could the Ghana Police Service be rated 99% in their professionalism when all
attempts to get the IGP even through the Ministry of Interior and the Office of the
President to answer why my son Courage Azumah was beaten for helping a British
Citizen failed? Their Boss the IGP ignored all letters sent to him. Is this
professionalism? I have a copy of a letter from the Office of the President asking
the IGP to investigate this case since 4th May 2010 but till date nothing has come
out of it. The officers who assaulted and brutalized my son are free. But justice
(however and whenever it comes) will come my son’s way.
This Minister of Interior is new in his post and does not know what he is talking
about. Most of my sons are drivers and they are laughing at this statement. Because
of this corrupt attitude and brutality my son is now at the Human Rights Court
against the Chief Superintendent Denis Abade Ako-Dem and the VCA Unit, IGP, Ministry
of Interior, Ministry of Justice & Attorney General and others.
Enough is enough of this NDC propaganda and I will do everything in my power for my
son before I die.
