Housing ex-Presidents should occupy minds of Executive – Baladu

Accra, July 10, GNA – Mr Baladu Manu, Member of Parliament (MP) for Ahafo Ano South, on Friday said in parliament that housing the country’s ex-presidents were mandates that should occupy the minds of the Executive.

He was making a contribution in parliament when the housing issue of Ex-President Rawlings came up for discussion.

Alfred Kwame Agbesi, Member for Ashaiman, said: “I’m aware that President Rawlings has not got a good house.”

Mr Gershon K. B. Gbediame, Majority Chief Whip, noted that the issue about housing for the ex-President should not be brought into Parliament.

Mr Baladu Manu contended that the majority should get another Whip if this one did not see the need to talk about the issue of housing for Ex-President Rawlings.

He, however, said he had withdrawn his statement in case Mr Gbediame found it offensive.
