Hopeson Adorye warns National Security

An aspiring National Youth Organizer for the New Patriotic Party, Hopeson Adorye, has warned that the party could no longer tolerate and allow the National Security to intimidate them any longer.

His warning is borne out of news making rounds that the National Security has invited the NPP’s Ashanti Regional Chairman for questioning over some alleged treasonable comments.

Bernard Antwi Boasiako, also known as Chairman ‘Wontumi’ is alleged to have threatened to mobilize two million residents of the Ashanti region to demonstrate against the continuous implementation of the health insurance capitation programme in the area.

The call generated distasteful responses from mainly people in government and the nation’s security was cried upon to deal with him. But Mr. Adorye has asked the National Security to make things clearer to Ghanaians if demonstrations were no longer part of our constitutional rights.

“This type of intimidation cannot go on any longer. I would organize a demonstration they have never seen before should the National Security invite Wontumi. We would face them squarely and Gbevlo Lartey and his men would see the true men in Ghana,” he warned.
