Hohoe Municipal presents food items to Zongo communities

Hohoe, Sept. 2, GNA – The Hohoe Municipal Assembly and its Member of Parliament, has presented assorted items to the Zongo community to be distributed to 12 Mosques in the Municipality.

The items included 750 poly mats, bags beans, sugar, rice and maize.

Mr Victor-Hermann Condobrey, Hohoe Municipal Chief Executive, presenting the items said the gesture was to support the Muslim community as they observed this year’s Ramadan.

He indicated that government and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) recognise the unflinching support of the Zongo communities to the course of the party and would continue to reciprocate that gesture.

“Even in your period of fasting, we recognise your contribution to nation building and we want to extend our gratitude to you,” he added.

Mr Condobrey appealed to Muslim spiritual leaders to pray unceasingly for security and accelerated development of the country and Allah’s guidance for leadership.

Alhaji Adamu Mohammed, Deputy (Galadima) Zongo Chief, receiving the items thanked the MP and the Assembly for the generosity.

He pledged continuous prayers for the State in all spheres.
