Hohoe Highway to be ready by this December

Hohoe, Aug 1, GNA – Work on the 3.5-kilometre Hohoe town roads would be completed by December at a cost of 1.1 million Ghana cedis. Mr Castro Dela Ahorsu, Managing Director of Survivors Construction Company undertaking the project, told the Ghana News Agency that the project is 80 percent complete. He commended residents of Hohoe for their co-operation and patience during periods when the “going became tough”. Mr Matthias Amuzu, Municipal Foreman of the Ghana Highway Authority (GHA) supervising the project, said the project was being executed according to specification to ensure its longevity. Mr Peter John Amewu, Hohoe Municipal Chief Executive, said the Hohoe main road had its first bitumen surface under the Progress Party government of Dr Kofi Abrefa Busia. He appealed to the Ministry of Transportation and Ghana Highways Authority to tackle other roads in the municipality.
