Ho-Poly alumni to run complementary courses in the school

Ho, March 13, GNA – The Alumni of the Ho Polytechnic is to run courses in certain basic skills for students of the institution to enhance their chances of getting jobs after graduation. Mr Lawrence Aziale, General-Secretary of the Alumni, said this when chatting with journalists shortly after the fifth congregation of the polytechnic in Ho on Saturday. He said the initiative was to help the polytechnic integrate certain skills such as driving, use of communication gadgets, among others, with courses to meet demands of employers. Mr Aziale said for example, sales personnel were required now to drive around themselves in order to save cost.

Mr Justice Ahorlu, National President of the Alumni, said membership of the Alumni, which currently had branches only in Ho and Accra is open to all students of the institution. He said the association was soon embark on a membership drive to all regional capitals and industrial hubs in the country to impress on past students to enrol in it.
