Ho Mutual Health Insurance Scheme celebrates Award

Ho, March 14, GNA – Some clients of the Ho Mutual Health Insurance Scheme (HMHIS) have commended management and staff of the Scheme for their hard work and good human relations. They said it was the professionalism and good attitude to work by staff of the Scheme that had won it the Best Performing Scheme Award in the Volta Region in 2010.

The clients said this at a special exhibition organized by the Scheme to celebrate the award and showcase its activities and processes to key stakeholders and the public in Ho. Madam Martha Gborgbortsi, a client, described the Scheme as “simply the best”.

She said the Scheme had some initial challenges but quickly picked up and 93it’s now making us very happy”.

Mr Charles Mensah, a client, said 93I am happy to have been transferred here. My previous Scheme in Accra was frustrating but I must confess I am very cool and happy here.” He added that, 93I am so touched with their human relations and general concerns for clients.” Mr John Dzotsi, a mechanic, said he was not surprised that the Scheme won that Award and that it deserved higher and more prestigious awards. Mr George Tasiame, Public Relations Officer of the Scheme, said the one week exhibition was to dedicate the Award to clients and assured them of more quality service.

He said as part of the exhibition, registration centres had been opened in all communities to take the Scheme closer to the people.

Mr Tasiame said the scheme was also waiving all arrears of people who failed to re-new their memberships over the years and had also taken off the 50 per cent penalty.

He said the three-month waiting period for national card has also been reduced to two weeks 93to demonstrate goodwill to our clients as a thank you.”

Mr Tasiame said the Scheme expects to register about 7,000 new clients during the exhibition exercise.
