Ho fans urge Black Stars to go all out to win Nations Cup

Ho, Jan. 27, GNA – A number of football fans in the Ho Metropolis on Wednesday urged the Black Stars to have confidence in their ability to win the Africa Cup of Nations this year. They supporters called on the players to stay focused and play as a team in their semi-final clash with the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

“This team has come close to winning the Cup than ever” and must do its best to win it,” Mr Francis Galenku, a

Psychiatric Nurse told GNA Sports in Ho on Wednesday. “Nigeria must not come between us and the Trophy,” he added. Mr Galenku therefore advised the team to keep its concentration throughout the game so as to disprove their

critics that they were a bunch of weak and inexperience players and that the team was on a misadventure. The Nurse commended Coach Milovan Rajevac for his foresight and effort and urged him to remain focused,

instil confidence in the players and to ensure that he wins the Cup for Ghana. He called on Ghanaians to support the team with their prayers and encouragement. Mawuena Lekey, popularly known as “Molar”, another football fan urged the team to utilize every chance at

scoring a goal in order to ease the pressure on themselves and the nation. “You have come too close to the golden prize to let go of your glory,” he said. Meanwhile, many fans in and around the Ho township have become confident in the team after it defeated the

Palacas Negras of Angola and are optimistic of the team winning the ultimate Cup.
