Ho circuit court grants bail to alleged prostitutes

Ho, April 09, GNA- A Ho circuit court on Tuesday, granted a bail of GHc400 each with surety to two women and a class five pupil for allegedly practicing prostitution. The court has however released the pupil aged 14 to her parents to be brought back to the court on April 15, this year. The two women Regina Goloh, 32, and Perfect Dovi Ekpeh, 33, are also to appear before the court on the same day. Victor Adabla, the owner of a brothel at Adablakodzi in Ho Bankoe is also in police custody, helping in the investigation. Prosecuting, Chief Inspector Emmanuel Okudzeto told the court; presided over by Mr Emmanuel Siammeh that the Police in Ho had information Adabla was operating a drinking spot with a brothel attached, where prostitution was practiced. He said on March 26 this year, a Police taskforce raided the spot at about 0130 hours. Inspector Okudzeto said upon seeing the Police vehicle, people at the spot including men and women took to their heels, but the two women were arrested with Adabla. He said around the same time, the pupil was seen at an open place called “Ray Makosa” near the OLA Secondary School being fondled by a man and was arrested while the man managed to escape.
