Ho airport to be ready by November

The Ho Airport runway is set to be completed early November ahead of the December election for its inaugural flight.

Transport Minister Fifii Kwetey says the first part of the Airport under construction is the runway and expected to be ready by November in order for us to make the first inaugural flight.

However, the terminal will have to be finished. But the terminal won’t be ready before November. But we expect the runway to be ready by then,” Kwetey said.

The 25 million dollar project is fully funded by the Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) and will be ready by the first half of next year, government has said.

When completed, the airport will comprise of a 1, 900 metre runway, an air traffic control tower, 1, 150 capacity passenger Lounge among others.
