Hit and run driver mutilates body

An unidentified man was on the dawn of Monday, July 6, knocked down by a hit-and-run vehicle at the Fire-Stone area, a suburb of Madina in Accra, leaving him dead.

Speaking to GNA, Madina Police Motor and Transport Traffic Unit Commander Assistant Superintendent of Police, ASP Michael Asiedu confirmed the story, saying the body was mutilated.

He said the police used a shovel to scoop the body parts of the man scattered on the road.

The body has been deposited at Ghana Police Hospital morgue for preservation, identification and autopsy.

ASP Asiedu called on the public whose relative may have gone out and had not returned home to visit the Madina Police to help with the identification of the body.
