Hills Pharmacy refurbishes ward at the Regional Hospital

Koforidua, Feb. 17, GNA – The refurbished Officials’ Ward of the Koforidua Regional Hospital had been handed over to management. The refurbishment included the provision of ceiling fans, a fridge and a television set in the ward with a tiled bath room and toilet facilities. Speaking at the handing over ceremony Dr Obeng Apori, the Medical Director of the hospital, thanked Hills Pharmacy, the company that refurbished the ward, for its generosity. He said the new look of the ward was an indication that it was not only management that could bring development and progress to the hospital. Dr Apori said management of the hospital had been under pressure to rehabilitate the ward but could not undertake it due to financial challenges facing the hospital.

The Eastern Regional Director of Medical Services, Dr Erasmus Agongo, expressed appreciation of the Ministry of Health to the management of Hills Pharmacy for undertaking the project. Mr Michael Ofori Asante, Director of Finance and Business Development of Hills Pharmacy, said the company decided to undertake the GHC 6,000 rehabilitation and refurbishment of the ward because of the philosophy of the company that “you do good by being good”.
