Hike Hammah calls for peace in Winneba

Winneba (C/R), March 7, GNA – The Member of Parliament for Effutu, Mr Mike Hammah has appealed to the people in the constituency to forget the past and unite for the accelerated development of the area. He said without unity and peace, it would be difficult to develop the area.

Mr Hammah, who is also the Minister for Transport, was addressing a parade of school children to mark the 52nd Independence Anniversary Celebrations in Winneba.

He said he would establish an Education Trust Fund to support parents who find it difficult to keep their children in school. Mr Hammah said a library would also be established in the area to enable school children cultivate the habit of reading. He called on the people in the area to rally behind the government and help it to fulfil its electoral promises to develop the nation.
