High Court orders arrest of Akim Oda Police Commander

Agona Swedru, Feb. 1, GNA -The Agona Swedru High Court has ordered the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to cause the arrest of Superintendent Akorli, Divisional Police Commander of Akim Oda for showing gross disrespect to the Court in a contempt matter against him.

The court presided over by Justice Anthony K. Yeboah asked the IGP to produce Supt Akorli in the High Court at Agona Swedru on February 10 this year.

It said, “The respondent was not to be granted bail except by this court at its earliest sitting”.

Superintendent Akorli is facing a contempt charge before the Agona Swedru High Court for interfering with the administering of justice at the Swedru Circuit’
