Help sustain level of cocoa export….Mr Gyau.

Accra, Feb. 23, GNA – Mr Johnson Gyau, Pensioner, has appealed to the Government to endeavour to sustain level of cocoa exports by rehabilitating poor roads in cocoa growing areas to facilitate the carting of the golden beans to the ports.

He said the rehabilitation had become necessary in view of the impending raining season which might worsen the already bad roads. One of such roads, Mr Gyau said, was the uncompleted Tepa – Bomaa – Tanoso road in the Tano North District Assembly, work on which was abandoned three years ago.

He said heavy vehicles would refuse to ply on such roads during the rainy season for the fear of getting stuck and thus affecting the haulage of cocoa and foodstuff from the area.
