Help promote “Better Ghana Agenda” – DCE

Mr Tom Budu, Akyemansa District Chief Executive (DCE), has asked the youth in the country to guard against immoral behaviour and persistent acts of indiscipline, since they risk compromising their future.

Mr Budu was speaking to the Ghana News Agency at Ofoase in the Eastern Region, on the youth’s contribution towards helping to realize the “Better Ghana Agenda”.

He stated that it was incumbent on all young persons all over the country to guard against social vices, lateness and absenteeism and malingering at workplaces, so as to maximize productivity for the President to realize his “Better Ghana Agenda”.

The DCE observed that teenagers, young men and women who joined bad company stood to lose greatly if they persisted in exhibiting bad behaviour and called on traditional rulers to help eradicate indiscipline from the society.

He urged the youth to put the interest of the nation above their ideological, political and personal interests, adding “it behooves on them to use their exuberant energies to pursue the development agenda of the district and help to lay a solid foundation for prosperity”.

Mr Budu was not happy about the situation where some public and civil servants tried to undermine the government’s efforts rather than help to improve the lives of the people.
