Heavy security presence at TV3 ahead of Public Services Workers Union’s picket

There is heavy security presence at the premises of TV3 Network Company Ltd as the Public Services Workers Union (PSWU) of the TUC protests the ‘unfair’ dismissal of some thirty-two staff.

Thirty-two workers of TV3 were dismissed for allegedly wearing red clothes to the premises against the knowledge of management.

A statement issued Monday by the PSWU asked all members of the Union to participate effectively in all solidarity actions in support of the 32 workers of TV3 Network Company Ltd.

According to the statement issued by Richard Ampaarbeng, General Secretary, and his deputy, Bernard Adjei, the “Management of TV3 took this action without due regard to the National Union or respect for the processes that establishes the Management-Union relationship – an action which is an affront to the social partnership.”

The management of TV3 Network Company Ltd has received some backlashes for its actions against the workers.
