Heavy duty trucks urged to avoid Mamfe-Koforidua road – MTTU

The Motor Traffic and Transport Unit of the Ghana Police Service (MTTU) has directed all heavy duty truck drivers plying the Accra-Kumasi road to desist from using the Mamfe-Koforidua road.

A statement copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra on Tuesday said the MTTU had recently being recording series of accidents on that stretch of the road involving heavy duty trucks and urged drivers to rather use the Suhum-Nsawam road.

“Motorists who defy this directive will be arrested and prosecuted accordingly” the statement said.
