Heaven’s Way Chapel Weeps as Sofo Asiamah Leads Tribute to Jailed Nana Agradaa

Members of Heaven’s Way Chapel broke down in tears during Sunday’s service as they gathered for the first time since their leader, Nana Agradaa, was sentenced to 15 years in prison.

In a widely circulated video from the service, resident pastor Sofo Asiamah and his congregation were seen weeping openly and praying fervently for Agradaa, who was convicted for defrauding followers under the guise of spiritual offerings.

“It’s in the eyes of humans that we see that Nana Agradaa has been jailed 15 years, but in the eyes of God, it is not like that,” Sofo Asiamah told his members. “God said 1,000 years is just a day, how much more 15 years?”

The service, which took place at the church’s headquarters, was marked by solemnity and reflection. A one-minute silence was held in honour of Agradaa before the congregation burst into worship and intercession.

Church members, many visibly emotional, joined their pastor in singing and praying for divine intervention and mercy. Some were seen kneeling, while others raised their hands in tears as they called on God to comfort and protect their embattled leader.

Despite the legal outcome, Sofo Asiamah encouraged his flock to hold on to their faith and trust that God’s timing is different from man’s. His words appeared to bring some reassurance to the visibly shaken congregation.

The service has since sparked conversations online, with mixed reactions from the public. While some sympathise with the emotional toll on the church, others have questioned the loyalty shown to Agradaa in the wake of her conviction.
