Accra Hearts of Oak have confirmed the appointment of Mas-Ud Didi Dramani as their new head coach, signing a two-year deal with the experienced tactician.
Dramani, who previously led rival club Asante Kotoko to back-to-back league titles, takes over the Phobians with immediate effect. His first major challenge will be preparing Hearts for the highly anticipated 2025 President’s Cup clash against his former side, Kotoko, at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The veteran coach brings a wealth of experience to the role. He recently served as Head of Football at the Right to Dream Academy and was part of Ghana’s technical team during the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Dramani has also managed the Black Galaxies and is celebrated for his strategic acumen and player development skills.
This marks Dramani’s return to the Ghana Premier League after a decade, following his successful stint with Kotoko, where he secured consecutive league titles before departing in 2013.
Hearts of Oak endured a disappointing 2024/25 season, finishing fourth in the league and exiting the MTN FA Cup at the round of 16. Dramani’s arrival is seen as a statement of intent to restore the club’s fortunes.
Sources indicate that Dramani will also oversee the club’s transfer operations, a move aimed at bolstering the squad for domestic and continental challenges.
Fans are eager to see how Didi Dramani’s leadership will impact Hearts of Oak as they aim to reclaim their place among Ghanaian football’s elite.
