Health Ministry to meet FWSC over Pharmacists strike

The Ministry of Health will today engage the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission over salary concerns of the Government and Hospital Pharmacists Association.

The association began an indefinite strike on Sunday April 1, to press home their concerns with the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission.

The Ministry has urged the Pharmacists to call off their strike as it tries to help address their grievance.

The Public Relations Officer of the Ministry, Tony Goodman told XYZ News that though it is not the ministry’s duty to negotiate with the Pharmacists Association, it will do its best to talk the association out of the strike.**
