The Headteacher of Dormaa Akwamu Methodist Junior High School Mr. Kosie Gabriel Kpante has called on the relevant authorities to facilitate the completion of the remaining finishing work on the recently constructed classroom block for the school.
He indicated that the Junior High School students continue to study in a wooden structure, despite the construction of a modern classroom block for the school. This situation persists because the contractor has not yet completed the finishing touches required before the facility can be officially handed over to the community, rendering the new building unusable at present.
He expressed that the wooden structure is not suitable for academic activities, further noting that students are dismissed whenever there is a threat of heavy rainfall during school hours. He emphasized the urgent necessity to complete the construction process, ensuring that the facilities are fully prepared and appropriate for use by both students and staff.
He urged those in authority to supply the necessary resources to the contractor to expedite the completion of the project in order to enhance educational excellence within the school.
Some students and pupils from Dormaa Akwamu Methodist Junior High School and Primary also expressed their concerns. They appealed to the relevant authorities to assist in the completion of their school building to facilitate effective teaching and learning.
