Heads of Health Institutions attend Regenerative Workshop

Bolgatanga, Feb. 19, GNA – Heads of health institutions in all the nine Districts in the Upper East Region are attending a three-day workshop on Regenerative Health and Nutrition in Bolgatanga.

The Workshop is being organized by the Regenerative Section of the Ministry of Health (MOH) and the Ghana Health Service (GHS). It is to educate the health personnel on how to integrate the practice of regenerative health when administering healthcare services to patients. Opening the workshop, the Regional Director of Health Service, Dr. John Koku Awoonor-Williams, said the central idea behind the regenerative health was that through the implementation, health lifestyles, dietary practices and mother and child care practices and various diseases that impacted negatively on the people in the country could be eliminated. He appealed to health personnel to make it part and parcel of their daily administration of health services to patients.

The Communications Officer of Regenerative Health, Mr. Nathaniel Ebo Nsarko, stated that at the end of the training heads of health institutions are expected to propagate the message to their districts and sub districts and to the community level.
