Head teachers warned against misappropriation of funds

Twifo Praso (C/R), May 19, GNA – Head teachers who misappropriate funds meant for the running of their schools will be made to face the full rigours of the law, an Assistant Director of Education has warned. The Reverend Emmanuel Adu Gyamfi, assistant director of education in the Twifo-Hemang-Lower Denkyira district, gave the warning when he opened a three-day management workshop for 85 head teachers in the district at Twifo-Praso on Wednesday.

The objective of the workshop was to equip participants with managerial skills.

Rev. Adu Gyamfi tasked the head teachers to always account for the imprest or monies advanced to them for administrative purposes. They should also live exemplary lives to win the confidence of the people in the communities in which they serve. 19 May. 05
