HEAD OF DAY CARE CENTRES ATTEND SEMINAR

Day Care Centre operators have been reminded that children have rights which must be respected, the Head of the Education Unit of the Ministry of Local Government, Madam Comfort Ashitey has said at a five-day seminar for Proprietors of Day Care Centres drawn from the Greater Accra Region. Madam Ashitey reminded the operators that because children are vulnerable, and defenceless they need professional skills to protect them at all times. The President of the Day Care Centre Operators Association, Madam Beatrice Asirifi called for a National policy on early childhood development. She said SMC Decree 144 needs to be amended to suit current situations. End
