Have faith and vote for the CPP – Prof. Akosa to Ghanaians

A stalwart of the Convention Peoples Party (CPP), Prof. Agyemang Badu Akosa, is urging Ghanaians to have faith and vote massively for the political party that gained independence for Ghana in the 2016 elections.

According to him, it was about time electorates do away with the perception that a vote for the CPP may not win them power.

“Some Ghanaian voters have made up their minds that once I vote for a particular party, it will never win the election, and so there is no need to do that all. That must cease.”

“Our understanding of politics needs a lot to be desired. There is protest vote which makes the government understands that even though I have won an election, not many people are happy about the way we are managing the economy. This always puts pressure on the government.”

“We are now in a hardship situation. But a time will come where Ghanaians will remember that if the CPP were to be in power, they wouldn’t have suffered,” he told Kasapa 102.3 FM in an interview.

According to the Fellow of the Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences, the CPP was much alive and was putting its house in order to enable it win power.

That dream he said when realized, will ensure that the aspirations of Ghanaians become a reality.
