Harvest Time International donates to KATH

Kumasi, Aug. 17, GNA – Harvest Time International, a Christian Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) based in the United States of America, at the weekend presented items worth about 40,000 dollars to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) in Kumasi.

The presentation was in fulfilment of a promise the organisation had made to the Hospital two years ago when some members visited the country.

The items included antibiotics, antiseptics, toiletries, wheel chairs, walking aids, toothpastes and brushes and washing bowls. The Reverend Dr Odessa McNeill, Chairperson of the NGO, who presented the items, said her organisation would team up with the hospital authorities to reach out to the needy, in fulfilling its social obligation.

She gave the assurance that the organisation would ensure frequent donations that would help needy patients at the Hospital.

Dr McNeill commended the Hospital authorities for the warm reception accorded members of the organisation who visited two years ago and expressed optimism that the new found relationship between the Hospital and her organisation would be sustained. Madam Margaret Boafo Atiemo, Director of Nursing at KATH, who received the items on behalf of the KATH, thanked the organisation for the gesture and gave the assurance that the items would be put to good use.
