Hare Krishna holds anniversary march

Accra, Nov. 25, GNA-Peace walk to commemorate the 25th anniversary celebration of Hare Krishna Ghana was held in Accra on Saturday, with a call on Christians to open a new chapter by refraining from acts which hinder national development.

Mr Canakya Pandit Dasa, Regional Secretary, Iskcon, Nigeria, who made the call at the end of the walk said Christians will be doing disservice to the nation if they did not allow the teachings of Jesus Christ to reflect in their daily lives.

He attributed the socio-economic woes of the country to Christians’ mad rush for monetary gains instead of seeking their spiritual upliftment

Mr Dasa emphasised the need for Christians to have faith in God so that all their problems would be solved. More than 500 members of the church, drawn from Ghana, Nigeria, Togo, India, Benin and Burkina Faso took part in the walk. It started from the Kwame Nkrumah Circle in Accra, through UTC ,Kingsway and ended at the Kinbu Gardens.
