Happy FM mass wedding gains momentum

As part of the activities leading to the 2015 Happy FM Valentine Mass Wedding, the couples of this year’s event have been treated to a fun-packed day at the Lloyds Beach Resort.

The event saw the grooms participating in cooking contests to exhibit their dish preparation skills ahead of the solemn ceremony seeking to perpetually unite them.

The event, which was sponsored by Nestlé’s Maggi, the grooms displayed their culinary skills in the presence of their would-be wives, officials of Happy FM and past couples of the Valentine Mass Wedding.

A statement from the Global Media Alliance quoted the General Manager of Happy FM, Mr Emmanuel Akrumah as saying: “We know how stressful and nerve-racking getting ready for a wedding can be, so we always try to engage the couples with all kinds of fun activities that will take their minds off the stresses of the event and keep them relaxed and entertained”.

He said: “Past experiences have also shown us that these activities go a long way to promote camaraderie amongst the couples.

“In so doing, not only do they acquire new families through the Mass Wedding, but they also walk away with new friends and amazing experiences which stay with them for life”.

Come Saturday February 14, the annual Happy FM Valentine Mass Wedding will see another 30 couples enjoy an all-expense paid wedding at the Accra International Conference Centre.

Prior to the day, the couples will take part in several activities including tours to the sponsoring companies, visits to the Registrar General’s office and Movie Nights.

They will also go through grooming sessions, which include hair, nail and spa treatments, in preparation for the ‘big day’.
