Half Assini magistrate court has no typewriters

Half Assini (W/R),Aug 25, GNA — Mr. Eric Amoah, Assistant Registrar at the Half Assini Magistrat Court, on Thursday appealed to the authorities to provide the court with logistics to ensure speedy and efficient delivery of justice.

Speaking in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Half Assini, he said non-availability of simple tools like typewriters was hampering the work of the court.

Mr. Amoah said all the typewriters provided the court by the Judiciary Service had broken down and for almost a year the court had been hiring private typewriters to type court proceedings, judgments and other official work.

He said the problem of the court had been compounded by the breakdown of some of the private typing machines.
