Half Assini Hospital to get children’s ward

Work has begun on the construction of a multi-purpose children’s ward at the Half-Assini Government Hospital in the Jomoro District of the Western Region.

The project is being funded by the Half-Assini Development Association in Italy and is currently at the foundation stage.

Madam Florence Miezan Ehouan, President of the Association, told the GNA in an interview that, the project consist of four rooms, an office, dressing room, toilet facilities, and playing centre.

Madam Miezan said the Association initiated the project after they realized the lack of such a facility was negatively impacting on quality health delivery for children.

She, therefore, urged philanthropists and other benevolent organisations to emulate them and support the project, which upon completion would separate children from sharing the males’ ward.
