Hairdressers pass out at Goaso

Goaso (B/A), July 20, GNA- Twenty-five newly trained Hairdressers, who passed out under the auspices of the United Hairdressers Association were presented with certificates at Goaso in Asunafo district of Brong Ahafo at the weekend.

Mr. George Y. Boakye, District Chief Executive, advised the beneficiaries, who were granted loans but had failed to pay back to do so to enable others to benefit from the facility.

He said the Assembly had plans to use previous events as a yardstick for the future disbursement of loans.

The DCE advised the hairdressers to place premium on moral chastity since more women were reported to be acquiring the HIV virus.

Mr. F.M. Boamah, Founder and acting national secretary of the association expressed the hope that the hairdressers would live up to expectation and help raise the status of women in their communities.
