WATCH THE GYMNASTIC SOMERSAULTS –
The Minister for the Interior, Hon. Hackman Owusu-Agyemang, has stated that unlike previous regimes that played down security scares, the Government of President Kufuor, takes all security threats seriously, and can deal with them effectively. He has, therefore, called on Ghanaians to go about their normal duties without fear or hindrance.
Speaking at unity rally organised by the NPP in Sunyani last Sunday, the Interior Minister said, looking at the track record of the former President, the Government had not taken his recent comments, lightly.
The Interior Minister disclosed that the government?s action follows the recent reports of mercenary attacks on Ghana, and what he termed ?the gymnastic and somersault travels of the former President,? trying to throw dust into the eyes of the security agencies, by inventing and following disguised travel plans.
He therefore warned that former President Rawlings should not delude himself into thinking that conditions that made it possible for him to strike in 1981 are still there for him to take advantage of once again.
