Gushegu embarks on infrastructural development

Gushegu (N/R), May 25, GNA – The Gushegu District Assembly has undertaken over 71 projects in the areas of education, health, roads. Thirty-nine of such projects have been completed while the remaining are at various stages of completion including an ongoing Health Assistant School project, Mr. Fuseini Alhassan, District Chief Executive for Gushegu, told the GNA on Tuesday.

He said some of the educational projects included the construction of a three-unit classroom block at Kpatinga, construction of a three-unit classroom block at Nagnani at Tindang and Gushegu. Mr. Alhassan said a rural clinic was constructed for Nabuli, construction and furnishing of nurses’ quarters, construction and furnishing of a rural clinic at Zamashegu.

He said the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) had also funded several projects in the area including the construction of six-unit classroom block for the Gushegu SHS, provision of six-unit classroom each at Gaa and Kpatinga. Mr. Alhassan said Kpantinga and surrounding communities were going to benefit from a small water system.
