Guinea Bissau’s President Kumba Yala arrives in Accra

Accra, Aug. 17, GNA – President Kumba Yala of Guinea Bissau will arrive in Accra on Sunday August 17, afternoon for a two-day working visit.

President Yala, accompanied by senior members of government, would be met on arrival by Ghana’s President, John Agyekum Kufuor. A statement signed by Mr. Kwabena Agyepong, Presidential Spokesperson said the two leaders, with their delegations would hold bilateral talks on political and economic issues.

“Matters of mutual concern, relating to regional security and good governance would also be on the agenda,” it added. Another President, General Teodoro Obiang N’guema M’basogo of Equitorial Guinea would also arrive in Ghana on Monday, August 18 to begin a two-day state visit.
