Gt. Accra embarks on handball talent identification

Accra, Aug 4, GNA – The Greater Accra Regional Sports Council is to organize a one-week holiday camping for “Talent Identification in Handball” from Sunday, August 10 to Saturday, August16. The exercise is aimed at selecting a team to represent the Region at this year’s National Sports Festival. Samuel S. Atuahene, Regional Sports Development Officer in a release copied to GNA Sports said the programme will attract players from six selected Districts made up of Ga West, Accra Metro, Ga East, Tema Metro, Dangme East and Dangme West in the Greater Accra Region. The programme which will attract five boys and girls from each District, he said will be under the supervision of the Regional Handball coach, Mr Emmanuel Tetteh Sabutey with his assistants being Joel Ankrah and Fati Payin. Players are expected to report on Sunday, August 10 for the programme which officially ends on Friday, August 15.
