GSB to organise training workshop for sachet water producers

Kumasi, June 28, GNA – The Ashanti and Brong Ahafo Zone Office of the Ghana Standards Board (GSB) will from next month begin a training programme on good manufacturing and hygienic practices for sachet water producers in the Ashanti and Brong Ahafo regions.

A statement signed by Mr Joseph Bennie, Zonal Officer and issued in Kumasi on Tuesday said the training workshop formed part of activities to ensure the adoption and implementation of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Hygiene Practices (GHP) by the producers as stipulated in the Food and Drugs Law.

It said the aim is to help producers improve upon their compliance to current codes of good manufacturing and hygienic practices. The statement appealed to all sachet water producers as well as those who intend to go into the production of sachet water to take advantage of the opportunity and register with the board to attend the workshop.
