Gruesome murder at Nkwansenade

Tarkwa, March 22, GNA – A farmer, Kwadwo Kusi, has appeared before a Tarkwa Circuit court charged with murdering Kwame Asare, also a farmer, at Nkwansenade near Ateiku in the Western Region. Prosecuting, Chief Inspector Joseph Agbedor said the deceased returned from his farm on March 14 and saw that his room had been broken into and four bottles of herbicide stolen.

Asare confronted Kusi and told him he had stolen the herbicide. Two days later, Kusi went to Asare’s cottage, knocked on his door and when he opened it Kusi inflicted deep cutlass wounds on his cheek and his head.

Asare fell down and bled to death.

Kusi then entered Asare’s room and collected his cloth, radio player, two pairs of trousers, shirts and a spraying machine and went away.

Chief Inspector Agbedor said on his way back some people saw Kusi in blood stained dress and on seeing the people he took to his heels but was arrested and handed over to the police.

When Mr John Ajet Nasam, the presiding judge, asked Kusi why he did that he answered, ” I did not know that he (Asare) would die”.
