Group wants Bekwai MP to contest on NPP’s ticket

Dominase (Ash), Jan. 4, GNA – Amansie Society, a social group,in the Bekwai Municipality, is urging the Member of Parliament

(MP) for the area to contest the coming December parliamentary election on the ticket of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Mr Joe Osei-Wusu won the constituency seat in the 2008 polls as an Independent Candidate, following a disputed NPP primary.

The group in a press statement signed by its chairman, Nana Agyeman Bediako, at Dominase near Bekwai, insisted that he would

be a huge electoral asset to the Party.

There should not be any doubt that Mr Osei-Wusu would bring more votes to the NPP’s presidential candidate, Nana Addo

Dankwah Akufo-Addo, it noted.
