Greater Accra NPP holds rally in Accra on Saturday

The Greater Accra Regional branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) on Thursday said the party would hold a rally on February 18, at the Mantse Agbonaa, Jamestown, Accra.

A statement signed by Mr Ishmael Ashittey, NPP Regional Chairman, copied to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) on Thursday, said the rally would be addressed by Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the party’s flagbearer for Election 2012.

It said NPP parliamentary aspirants for the various constituencies in the Region would be introduced at the rally.

The statement said former President John Agyekum Kufuor, would be the special guest of honour, while other national and regional executives as well as NPP Members of Parliament would attend the event.

It said the rally would address economic hardships, propaganda, broken promises, drastic rise in cost of living, high taxes, high petroleum prices, and high utility tariffs.

Others are the falling standards of education, high profile corruption, payment of judgment debts, as well as education on the party’s theme for Election 2012: “Reflected, Rebuilt, and Recapture Power”.
