Great rush for Ghana flags in Germany

Accra, June 26, GNA – The Ministry of Information and National Orientation through the Information Services Department is feverishly printing Ghana flags to be sent tonight to Germany, a statement from the Ministry said on Monday in Accra.

The statement signed by Mr D. A. Kwapong on Monday said this was because there was a great rush for the flags in Germany where literally the whole nation was behind the Black Stars in their match against Brazil on Tuesday, June 27 2006.

It said the demand for the flags had come about as a result of the sparkling performance of the Black Stars in the ongoing World Cup tournament.

It noted that the Ghana Embassy in Britain had, therefore, sent an S.O.S message to the Minister to urgently send to Germany, by any available means a minimum of three million flags in preparation for tomorrow’s match against Brazil.
