Graphic head gets international post

Mr Kofi Badu, managing director of Graphic Corporation, has been appointed executive member of the World Association of Newspapers. A statement issued today by the corporation said Mr Badu was nominated personally by the president of the association, Mr Bengt Braun of Sweden, following his participation in the World Strategy forum for Newspapers in Chantilly, France, in September, this year. The World Association of Newspapers, with its headquarters in Paris, is the largest global body for the newspaper industry. It groups together all key newspapers, their executives and editors and spearheads the promotion of press freedom and the upliftment of journalistic standards.
