A one-year-old boy has been subjected to inhumane treatment by her grandmother who claimed she wanted to stop him from sucking his left thumb at Enchi.
Aunt Owusuah accused the boy of cultivating an unhealthy habit of sucking his fingers and therefore put his left thumb and fore finger in fire which resulted in burn bruises.
A nieghbour who heard the poor boy crying thought he was being bullied by his colleagues only to be greeted with the torture he was undergoing at the hands of her grandmother.
“Her mother and father had all left for farm and left him in the care of the granny but who burnt the boy’s fingers. We reported the matter to the Enchi police who are currently investigating the matter”, a resident told mynewsgh.com.
Father of the victim, Kofi Ghana said he is not surprise about the conduct of his mother inlaw who is on record to have stated her dislike for him prior to marrying her daughter.
