Grace Baptist Church supports needy students in the church

Kumasi, Jan. 2, GNA – The Grace Baptist Church at Amakom, in Kumasi, has presented educational scholarship packages worth GH¢26,795.50 to 79 needy but brilliant pupils and students of the Church at a ceremony in Kumasi on Sunday.

The beneficiaries are at the various levels of education in the country.

Reverend Robert Kwadwo Asante, Senior Pastor of the Church, who made the presentation, said the church last year presented an amount of GH¢18,000 to 40 pupils and students in the church to enable them continue their education.

According to him, the Church as a body has the duty to support its members who are in need and not to exploit them. “People have talents in them but they are wasting away in the streets, the Church therefore has the obligation to assist them. It is to seek the souls as well as bodi’
