Grace Baptist Church supports 200 students with grants

Kumasi, Oct 20, GNA – The Amakom Grace Baptist Church has, under an Education Fund it set up a decade ago, supported 200 students with grants=

totalling GH¢22,742. The last batch of 40 beneficiaries received their package at a ceremo= ny in Kumasi at the weekend.

The event coincided with the worldwide “Stand Up and Take Action for the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).” The students were selected from Junior High Schools (JHS) through to the tertiary level and they are all brilliant but needy. The Rev Robert Asante, Associate Pastor of the Church, said this was its contribution towards education promotion.

He said the Church was determined not only to see to the spiritual upliftment of the members but also their physical and material well-being= .. The Rev Dr. Kojo Osei-Wusuh, Senior Pastor of the church, urged all Christians to show kindness to the poor.
