GRA supports Regional CID and Dzorwulu Special School

The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has presented a multi-purpose commercial printer with scan and fix machine together with a UPS to the Greater Accra Regional CID Division of the Ghana Police Service.

The Authority also presented items including bags of rice, detergents, galloons of cooking oil, cartoons of mackerel, boxes of tin tomatoes, student mattresses to the Dzorwulu Special School.

The donation formed part of the GRA’s corporate social responsibility.

Presenting the printer, Mr George Blankson, Commissioner-General of the GRA, said the support was to promote the operations of the police in ensuring compliance with the law.

He said it was also to help the police to get useful information and disseminate same to the public.

He said the donation was a demonstration of GRA’s commitment and the appreciation of the services the two institutions were rendering to the public.

Deputy Commissioner of Police, Christian Tetteh Yohunu, said it was the first time a government institution was supporting the Service.

He assured the Commissioner-General of the proper usage to benefit and promote their operations.

“The support will foster good relationship between the two institutions,” he added.

At the Dzorwulu Special School, the GRA Commissioner-General said the items were purchased through the annual Christian-Muslim service contribution by the GRA.

He said management had agreed that proceeds from the joint service would be used to support government institutions in need.

He expressed appreciation to the management of the school for their efforts to take care of children with special needs.

Mrs Veronica Sackey, the Headmistress of the School, receiving the items, expressed gratitude to GRA for the assistance.
