GPL Sunday Special: Hearts Held by Goldstars as Medeama, Karela and Nations FC Claim Vital Wins

It was another thrilling Sunday in the Ghana Premier League as Week 7 produced drama, goals, and surprises across match centres nationwide.

At the Accra Sports Stadium, Hearts of Oak were held to a 2-2 draw by Bibiani Goldstars in an entertaining contest that kept fans on their feet. Despite dominating large spells, the Phobians were denied all three points by a resilient Goldstars side and both teams shared the spoils.

Medeama SC continued their steady rise with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Swedru All Blacks at the TNA Stadium, while Karela United impressed with a 2-0 victory against Bechem United at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium.

Elsewhere, FC Samartex 1996 cruised past Hohoe United 2-0 at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena, maintaining their fine home form. Nations FC edged Eleven Wonders 3-2 in a five-goal thriller at the Kwame Kyei Sports Complex, while Young Apostles and Berekum Chelsea settled for a 1-1 draw in Wenchi.

With Sunday’s results, the table remains tightly contested, as teams continue to jostle for early-season dominance in what is shaping up to be one of the most competitive Ghana Premier League campaigns in recent years.
