Govt should not acquire more aircrafts – Awuku

Mr Sammy Awuku, Deputy Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), on Friday said it would be a dangerous adventure for the Government to purchase more aircrafts for the Ghana Airforce at this time.

Speaking during an interaction with a cross-section of the media at Takoradi, Mr Awuku said: “The government’s decision to purchase the aircrafts was untenable considering the social and economic realities of the country”.

He said it would be a stab in the back of the people for the government to carry out this decision.

“The people are poorer and the country is worse-off than before”, Mr Awuku said.

He called on the people to rise up and kick against the decision.
